Big Spring Doris Griffice, 68, of Big Spring, died at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Brownwood Regional Hospital in Brownwood after a brief illness. Services will be at 2 (3) p.m. Friday at 11th & Birdwell Lane Church of Christ. Bill Richardson, minister of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ, in Brownwood, will officiate. Burial will be at Mount Olive Memorial Park, directed by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. Born Jan 2, 1916 in Hamilton County, she grew up in Howard County. She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Big Spring until 1976. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Eunice Choate of Big Spring and Billie Gill of Brownwood; a brother, Lawrence Brummett of Anaheim, Calif.; two sisters, Dean Cipriani of Los Angeles and Eunice Germany of Yuma, Ariz.; six grandchildren and a great-grandson.
